How do you clear snow from hotel tents during winter? If snow isn’t cleared, it can cause the tent fabric and frame to collapse, and prolonged snow accumulation can bring the entire hotel tent down. Therefore, Qixing Hotel Tents, a manufacturer of hotel tents, has compiled some snow-clearing methods for you below. There are various methods for clearing snow from hotel tents, such as manual snow removal, mechanical snow removal, snow removal using auxiliary equipment, and chemical snow removal, all of which ensure the safety and stability of hotel tents during severe weather.

I. Manual Snow Removal Methods
For hotel tents, you can use tools such as shovels and spades, or specialized snow removal tools like snow scrapers. These tools help you easily push or pull accumulated snow from the top of the hotel tent toward the edges so it slides off. However, be careful not to use sharp tools to avoid scratching or damaging the tent fabric. During snow removal, protective gear such as hard hats should be worn to ensure personal safety. Additionally, work should begin on both sides of the hotel tent where the support poles are located, proceeding from the bottom up to prevent structural damage caused by uneven stress distribution.

II. Mechanical Snow Removal
Use handheld or stationary snow blowers to blow away accumulated snow with powerful airflow. This method is suitable for small- to medium-sized hotel tents where the snow has not yet frozen. For large hotel tents, mechanical snow removal equipment such as snow blowers, snow plows, or snow brush machines can be used. These machines can efficiently clear snow and reduce the physical strain on workers.

III. Snow Removal Using Auxiliary Equipment
Install a sprinkler system on the roof of the hotel tent and use a high-pressure water gun or fire hose to wash away the snow. This method is suitable for situations where the outdoor temperature is relatively high and the snow accumulation is thin. However, care must be taken to ensure that water does not seep into the interior of the hotel tent during the washing process to prevent damage. Install heating devices, such as warm-air ducts, snow-melting pipes, or snow-melting cables, inside or on the roof of the hotel tent to melt the snow through heating. This method is suitable for large-area hotel tents, such as connected greenhouse structures; however, attention must be paid to the safety and energy consumption of the heating devices.

IV. Chemical Snow Removal
De-icing agents can lower the freezing point of snow, causing accumulated snow to melt and run off. However, it is important to note that certain de-icing agents may corrode tarpaulins or pollute the surrounding environment. Therefore, you should carefully review the product instructions before use and, whenever possible, choose de-icing agents that do not corrode tarpaulins and have minimal environmental impact. At the same time, the amount of de-icing agent used should be kept within reasonable limits to avoid causing environmental harm due to overuse.
